International Students are welcome to apply for the Exemption Scholarship – Universite de Montreal, Canada 2022. The scholarship covers Masters, Undergraduate, and PhD level programs at Universite de Montreal, University of Montreal in the field of All Subjects.

The exemption scholarship program at the University of Munich is aimed to assist overseas students with their university studies.

They may be excluded from the tuition fees ordinarily charged to overseas students beginning in the fall of 2020. Scholarships will be awarded for the winter 2022, summer 2022, fall 2022, and winter 2023 terms.

Benefits of a Scholarship:

A complete waiver of the additional tuition fees ordinarily charged to international students is offered to assist you in your graduate studies as an international student.

This exemption bursary entitles you to the same tuition fees as graduate students in Québec.

  • For the course of your studies, you will pay $21,038.13 every year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $7,012.71 per session (equivalent to 15 credits).

This price is deducted from the annual tuition of $25,125.93. (45 credits).

The only factor used to establish the scholarship’s worth is the quality of your academic record. This evaluation is based on the transcripts submitted as part of the admissions application. The findings of the investigation are divided into three levels.

  • Level A: $12,465.60 per year (2 sessions, or 30 credits), or $6,232.80 every session (15 credits), or $415.52 per credit
  • Level B: $5,940.90 per year (2 sessions, 30 credits) or $2,970.45 every session (15 credits) or $198.03 per credit
  • Level C: $2,078.10 per year (2 sessions, or 30 credits), or $1,039.05 every session (15 credits), or $69.27 per credit

The level C award is automatically given to students participating in a certificate, major, minor, short program, or preparatory year program for university studies.

These funds are applied to annual tuition expenses of $24,607.80. (30 credits).

Graduate Programs – Mastersclick to close

A partial exemption scholarship from the additional tuition fees generally charged to international students is offered to assist you in your graduate studies as an international student.

  • $3 262,65 per session or $9 787,95 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) (equivalent to 15 credits)

This amount is applied to the annual tuition cost of $27,992.70. (45 credits).

The same tuition rates as those charged to Québec students will be applied to the writing and revision sessions.

  • Students from other countries

Criteria for Eligibility:

  1. Who have a study permit but are not permanent residents or citizens of Canada.
  2. Who will be enrolled in a full-time study program for the duration of their studies?
  3. Who would not benefit from a different type of tuition fee exemption provided by a different policy or measure? This type of exemption is already available to Francophone students in France and Belgium.

Application Procedure:

1. Fill out an application for admission.

Before you start filling out the application form, double-check the application deadlines and admittance standards for the study programs you’re interested in.

2. Follow up on your file and receive an admissions offer.

You will receive your “Student Centre” access codes a few days after submitting your admissions application. This is where you can keep track of your application and receive your letter of acceptance.

3. Accept the admissions offer to begin the evaluation.
It is not necessary for you to apply for an UdeM Exemption Scholarship. 
The eligibility of new candidates and the amount of their exemption scholarship will be determined by reviewing their files.

4. Receive the award notice with the amount.

The Université de Montréal will swiftly notify you, through email, of the amount of the scholarship to which you are eligible after receiving your admissions offer.
